1Aims & Objectives: To appreciate the various achievements of students inside and outside school, staff in Term 1. To further encourage and motivate the students to aspire more achievements in the next term.
Summary: Term 1 -As we come closer to the end of term, Key Stage 3 celebrated the success of students for Term and appreciated the patience, flexibility and resilience of the unsung heroes of our community. We are incredibly proud of our students who relentlessly worked hard amidst the adversity, their enthusiasm and resilience turned the Blended Learning a grand success. The students were thankful for all the effort and hard work of the teachers for making the Term 1 an incredible one, they extended their sincere appreciation through videos, poems and music etc.

Aims & Objectives: The objective of the assembly was to pay a tribute to the Martyrs of UAE & to remember about the sacrifices made by these brave super heroes.
Summary: The students of 9I started the assembly with a wonderful quote stating, “The people who have really made history are the martyr’s”. The students also showcased their talent by presenting a role play along with the video that spoke about the Martyrs day. The assembly was concluded by a short quiz conducted by the students & a padlet wall to give the feedback. The assembly was well appreciated by the HOY’s, HOK & all the students through the zoom chats. Aims & Objectives: The importance of creating a student E-portfolio and part different students clubs and extra -curricular activities.
Summary: An enlightening session with Winchester Alumni Alijaeh Go was Conducted on 23th May. He spoke to us about the importance of extra-curricular activities in our portfolios. Moreover, he emphasized the need for a diverse portfolio and spoke to us about what top universities in various countries seek. Additionally, he also touched on the importance of doing volunteer work and internships to gain experience based on the career paths we choose. Aims & Objectives: The session was conducted a part of Career planning and to motivate our young minds to build their careers in finance & other relative fields.
Summary: The assembly Conducted was on 25th May Conducted by Mrs. Ambreen Zaraz the parent of Mikhael of Year 9B. The assembly was a very interactive session where students were actively involved by questioning and answering. Mrs. Ambreen had shared her experiences as a banker and how she started as banker and is having flourishing career in the financial sector. The assembly was very motivating and inspiring for students of year 9 in their future planning and to motivate our young minds to build their careers in finance & other relative fields. Aims & Objectives: To celebrate international families day and make more meaningful and important to our students.
Summary: The assembly Conducted was on 16th May Conducted by Mrs. Shweta Coelho the parent of Atlanta of Year 9F. Baking professional with an experience of over 25 years, conducted a live demonstration on how to make ‘Mango Mousse in Chocolate Cups’. We also had an enlightening discussion about the importance of traditions in our families and how it can be expressed through culinary delights. It was well appreciated and enjoyed by students and teachers alike across the year group. Aims & Objectives: To help students and parents understand the key priorities and expectations of Key Stage 3. To provide insight about the mode of learning both face to face and distance learning. To enlighten parents on COVID 19 protocols and share the provisions for the new normal academic year.
Summary: The main objective of the webinar was to enlighten students and parents on how the mode of learning both face to face and distant learning will be conducted in the Secondary school. Ms. Harpreet welcomed the parents and introduced the secondary team to the parents. There was a good attendance of parents, the session concluded with Q&A session. Parents shared good reviews and they are happy about the secondary school provision. Aims and Objectives: To create an awareness about the various optional subjects offered in Year 10, along with BETC level 2 and level 3 and enable students to make right career choices for the success of their future.
Summary: Option Awareness Webinar was conducted Virtually on teams for Year 9 students and parents. The school Principal Ms Meenakshi, the vice principal Dr Rithika, and the Head of Secondary Ms Harpreet. have shared the different options subjects that are offered in year 10. The main objective of the webinar was to create awareness among the students and parents regarding the available optional subjects offered at the Winchester School. Students felt more confident, excited and motivated to aspire. The session ended with Q&A. Aims & Objectives: To think about your personal and academic goals for the school year and learn to write these as SMART goals and also identify the actionable tasks that one can complete and take to achieve these goals.
Summary: The Study skills Assembly for Year 9 was conducted to prepare our Year 9 students to be successful in their internal and external examination. It was also designed to develop essential skills of effective learning. Students were given a task to think and plan their Smart goals and were Enlighted about SMART GOALS. The assembly was concluded by sharing a padlet link where students were encouraged to enter a personal and an academic smart goal. |
